The Voyager one and a pair of spacecraft approached Jupiter in 1979 (Voyager 1 on March five and Voyager two on July nine) and presented astronomers with substantial-depth photographs from the surface of the planet and its satellites. The pictures as well as other knowledge that the two Voyager probes gathered offered new insights into the planet�
